HAMC Stavanger was founded the 14th of September 1996. It started 15 years earlier in January 1981, when ”The Shabby Ones MC” started in the town of Sandnes outside Stavanger. The clubhouse was an old spinningfactory that was owned by one of the members. In the first years the criteria for bikes was Choppers, English or American motorcycles, but after a few years this changed, so that everyone had to own a HD. 1986 was the first year when the club reached the front pages of the media, and was classified by these as one of the first 1% clubs in Norway. It was also this year the first contacts was made with Hells Angels MC in Copenhagen. In the years that followed, contact was established with other clubs in Norway and Scandinavia, and The Shabby Ones was a central club in building the Norwegian Biker community. The club also moved from the the old clubhouse at ”Hommeland ” into a factory building just outside the center of Sandnes. In August 1992 Norway got it`s first Hells Angels chapter, Hells Angels MC Trondheim. And it was clear which way TSO wanted to go in the Biker world. HA had been the goal for a long time and finally the 25th of March 1994 TSO became Hangarounds to HA MC. In January 1995 the Club moved into a new clubhouse outside the city, the same as today. The clubhouse belonged to a supporterclub “ Streethawks MC” and they started as hangaround to TSO. These years was filled with a lot of work and many trips to visit other HA carters around the world. On the 29th of May the club could take on the red and white on the bottom colors. The Club was now Prospect chapter Stavanger MC Norway. The 14th September 1996 during a party in Oslo both Oslo and Stavanger was granted full membership as the 99th and 100 chapter in Hells Angels World. |
